First evaluation of g$_{A}$/g$_{V}$ in lattice QCD in the quenched approximation
The authors report on a first preliminary evaluation of the axial current matrix element between states of the nucleon octet. The computation is done by studying the dependence of the nucleon energy on an appropriate external field.
