Search for Extra Dimensions in Dimuon Events in pp Collisions at sqrt(s) = 7 TeV

Sumario:We report the results of a search for large spatial extra dimensions in events with two isolated muons collected in proton proton collisions at $\sqrt{s} = 7$~\TeV with the CMS detector at the LHC. The dimuon invariant mass spectrum is measured with an integrated luminosity of $1.18$~fb$^{-1}$. The standard model expectation is found to be consistent with the measurement. Limits of up to $3.22$~TeV at 95\% C.L.~are set on the model parameter $M_{s}$, depending on the number of extra dimensions and the validity range of the theory.
