Jet Energy Scale Uncertainty in ATLAS
The jet energy scale (JES) is a correction applied to jets measured in the calorimeter to recover the true energy and momentum of the original jet. Studying properly calibrated jets is an important first step of the LHC programme: a good understanding of jets is crucial for many physics analyses.
