Sumario: | An overview of the first results on particle production in lead-lead collisions at sqrt(sNN)=2.76 TeV obtained with the ATLAS detector is presented. The measurements of global and collective features of lead-lead collisions are shown and complemented with studies of high-transverse momentum probes, including charged hadron suppression, jet quenching, dijet energy imbalance and di-lepton final states. The results were obtained from the sample of minimum bias lead-lead collision data with an integrated luminosity up to 9 mub^-1. |
