W/Z + jets results from the LHC

We present measurements of the inclusive W and Z boson production cross sections in association with jets, $sigma(V + geq N_{ m jets}$) V = W or Z, in the electron and muon decay channels of the bosons. The results are based on 2010 proton-proton collision data at a center-of-mass energy of 7 TeV collected by the ATLAS and the CMS experiments at the LHC. We also show inclusive cross section ratios, $sigma(V + geq N_{ m jets}$)/$sigma(V + geq N_{ m jets}-1$), where major systematic uncertainties cancel out. Differential cross sections, measured with respect to the transverse momentum of the jets, $sigma(V + geq N_{ m jets})/dp_T(N^{ m th}$ jet), are also presented, as well as a test of Berends-Giele scaling of the inclusive jet multiplicity cross section ratios. The measurements are compared with theoretical predictions from different LO and NLO Monte Carlo generators.
