Search for new physics in events with b-quark jets and missing transverse energy in proton-proton collisions at 7 TeV
We present a search for physics beyond the standard model (SM) based on events with large missing transverse energy, at least three jets, and b-quark jets. The study is performed using 1.1~\fbinv of proton-proton collisions collected at $\sqrt{s}=7$ TeV with the CMS detector at the LHC. All SM backg...

Sumario: | We present a search for physics beyond the standard model (SM)
based on events with large missing transverse energy,
at least three jets,
and b-quark jets.
The study is performed using 1.1~\fbinv of proton-proton collisions collected at $\sqrt{s}=7$ TeV
with the CMS detector at the LHC.
All SM backgrounds are evaluated using data-based techniques.
The number of events observed is consistent with the SM expectation.
We set 95\% confidence level upper limits on the cross sections of simplified models
in which new particles decay to
two b-quark jets plus an undetected particle.
We also present exclusion limits
in the context of the constrained minimal supersymmetric extension of the SM. |
