Search for Standard Model Higgs boson in the two-photon final state in ATLAS

Latest results on the search for low mass standard model Higgs boson decaying into two photons are presented. The event selection, the background composition extraction methods and the evaluation of systematics are detailed. The proton-proton collisions data at sqrt{s}=7 TeV recorded with the ATLAS...

description Latest results on the search for low mass standard model Higgs boson decaying into two photons are presented. The event selection, the background composition extraction methods and the evaluation of systematics are detailed. The proton-proton collisions data at sqrt{s}=7 TeV recorded with the ATLAS detector are compared with the expected Standard Model Higgs boson inclusive production cross-section, for a mass range between 110 and 150 GeV/c2. Upper limits on the production cross-section obtained from the available LHC integrated luminosity will be presented.
