Sumario: | On the 6th and the 7th of June 2011, the LHC was filled so to have twelve additional non-colliding bunches per ring. In this note a detailed observation of the bunch parameters (current, emittances and length) is presented, focusing on the differences in the behaviour between colliding and non-colliding bunches. Lifetimes for the residual gas interaction were estimated. Simulations were compared to the experimental data collected in the MD. Some conclusions are drawn and suggestions for future MD are discussed. |
