description An asynchronous beam dump is one of the most critical accident the LHC could face. In the effort to have a better protection of the machine, a new model for the TCDQ (Target Collimator Dump Quadrupole) has been proposed and is under evaluation. Within this frame we have performed FLUKA evaluation of the energy deposition. The results of our simulations are also input for the evaluation of the heat load on the collimator.
