Sumario:The cross section for dijet production, with transverse momentum $p_T^{jet} > 20$ GeV, is presented as a function of $\widetilde{\xi}$, a variable that approximates the fractional momentum loss of one of the scattered protons in single diffractive $pp$ collisions at $\sqrt{s} = 7$ TeV. The analysis is based on an integrated luminosity of $2.7$ nb$^{-1}$ collected with the CMS detector in 2010. The results are compared to the predictions of diffractive and non-diffractive Monte Carlo models. The low-$\widetilde{\xi}$ events are dominantly diffractive. % % This is an example of a \textit{CMS Note} written in \LaTeX % using the \emph{cms-tdr} document class and processed using the % same \texttt{tdr} perl script used in generating the CMS Physics TDRs. % Instructions for producing CMS Notes and Internal Notes are given.
