Sumario:We present a search for the production of a heavy \Wpr gauge boson using 5~fb$^{-1}$ of data collected during 2011 by the Compact Muon Solenoid experiment at $\sqrt{s}=7$~TeV. We study different models of \Wpr boson production using the decay channel \Wpr to a top quark and a bottom quark, including an arbitrary combination of left-~and right-handed couplings to fermions. The analysis is based on events with the final state signature lepton ($e,\mu$) plus jets and missing transverse energy. For the case when \Wpr boson have the same strength as the Standard Model $\W$ boson, \Wpr boson with right-handed couplings to fermions and with masses below 1.85~TeV are excluded at 95\% C.L..
