Latest results from the ATLAS experiment

The ATLAS experiment at the LHC has collected 5.6 fb-1 at the end of 2011 proton-proton run at √s = 7 TeV. ATLAS results on the “re-discovery” of the Standard Model will be presented. A summary of several Standard Model total production cross section measurements will be compared to the corresponding theoretical expectations. Mass reach of ATLAS search for new phenomena with emphasis on Super Symmetry, extra dimensions and SM Higgs will be discussed. A summary of the studies of lead-lead collision in the 2010 run, about properties of strongly interacting matter, will also be given.
