description The article reviews the status of the Compact Linear Collider (CLIC) study towards feasibility demonstration of a novel and challenging technology which has been specially developed to extend Linear Colliders energy reach into the multi-TeV range in order to be complementary to LHC (Large Hadron Collider). A Conceptual Design Report is being published summarizing the performance of a High Energy facility based on such a technology as well as the results of the R&D performed to address its feasibility.
