ATLAS Heavy Ion results

Large Hadron Collider provides a wide research program with heavy ion collisions with aim of studying the properties of medium matter at extreme temperatures and densities. Results are presented from the ATLAS collaboration from the 2010 and 2011 LHC heavy ion runs, during which nearly 10 and 160 inverse microbarns of luminosity were delivered respectively. Results include charged particle multiplicities, collective flow and muon pairs at high momentum are used to extract the yield of Z bosons.
