Sumario:This document presents a selection of quarkonium results obtained with the CMS experiment in proton-proton collisions at a centre-of-mass energy of \unit{7}{\TeV}. The measurements include the differential production cross sections of prompt and non-prompt J/$\psi$ and $\psi$(2S) mesons in a wide range of transverse momentum and rapidity, which are compared to theory calculations. %, and the branching fraction of the inclusive $B \rightarrow \psi(2S) X$ decay, extracted from the ratio of the non-prompt cross sections of the two mesons. We also report the measurement of the $\Upsilon$(1S), $\Upsilon$(2S), and $\Upsilon$(3S) differential cross sections as a function of transverse momentum and rapidity. The reconstruction of the radiative decay of the $\chi_c$(nP) states is shown using 2011 data. Finally we review the results obtained on the studies on the X(3872) state.
