Top quark cross section measurements in CMS

Measurements of top quark pair and single top production cross sections at 7 TeV are presented, using CMS data collected in 2010 and 2011. The ttbar inclusive cross sections are measured in the lepton+jets, dilepton and fully hadronic channels, including the tau-dilepton and tau+jets modes. Differential measurements of the ttbar cross section as well as the top pair charge asymmetry are presented as well. The results are combined and confronted with precise theory calculations. The measurements of the top pair invariant mass distribution are used to search for new particles decaying to top pairs.
