SUSY Search in Photon(s)+jets+\MET final state with the Jet-Gamma Balance method

Sumario: | This paper presents a search for supersymmetry in final states with at least one photon, jets and missing transverse energy, using 2011 data samples of pp collisions at $\sqrt{s}=7$ TeV, collected by the \textit{CMS} detector at the Large Hadron Collider. The data samples correspond to 4.7~fb${}^{-1}$. A new approach is used to establish the presence of the signal over background and estimate the background from the data, the Jet-Gamma Balance method. We observe no significant deviations from the SM expectation and derive upper limits on the signal cross section at the 95\% confidence level for a range of squark, gluino and neutralino mass points in the Gauge Mediated Supersymmetry Breaking (GMSB) scenario. |
