A Search for oldmath{$tar{t}$} Resonances in the Dilepton Channel in 2.05 fb$^{-1}$ of oldmath{$pp$} collisions at $sqrt{s} = 7$ TeV with the ATLAS experiment
A search for top quark pair ttbar resonances in final states where both W bosons from the top quark decay into either an electron and electron-neutrino or a muon and muon-neutrino (dilepton final state) has been performed. Sumario: | A search for top quark pair ttbar resonances in final states where both W bosons from the top quark decay into either an electron and electron-neutrino or a muon and muon-neutrino (dilepton final state) has been performed. The data were recorded by the ATLAS experiment at the CERN Large Hadron Collider. The search uses a data sample corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 2.05 fb-1, which was recorded in 2011 at a proton-proton centre-of-mass energy of 7 TeV. No evidence for a resonance is found. Upper limits at the 95% Confidence Limit (C.L) are set on the production cross-section times branching ratio of the resonance decaying to ttbar pairs as a function of the resonance pole mass. |
