A measurement of $\gamma$ from a combination of $B^\pm\to Dh^\pm$ analyses
A combination of recent LHCb results is used to perform a measurement of the CKM angle $\gamma$. We use $B\to DK$ and $B\to D\pi$ decays where the $D$ meson ($D^0$ or $\overline{D^0}$) decays into $KK$, $\pi\pi$, $K \pi$, $K_S\pi\pi$, $K_S KK$, or $K \pi \pi \pi$ final states. Using only $B\to DK$ r...

Sumario: | A combination of recent LHCb results is used to perform a measurement of the CKM angle $\gamma$. We use $B\to DK$ and $B\to D\pi$ decays where the $D$ meson ($D^0$ or $\overline{D^0}$) decays into $KK$, $\pi\pi$, $K \pi$, $K_S\pi\pi$, $K_S KK$, or $K \pi \pi \pi$ final states. Using only $B\to DK$ results, we find a best-fit value of $\gamma = (71.1^{+16.6}_{-15.7})^\circ$. For the first time information from $B\to D\pi$ decays is included in a combination. When these results are included, the best-fit value becomes $\gamma =85.1^\circ$ and we set confidence limits of $\gamma \in [61.8, 67.8]^\circ$ or $[77.9, 92.4]^\circ$ $@\,68\%$ CL, $\gamma \in [43.8, 101.5]^\circ$ $@\,95\%$ CL. All values are modulo $180^\circ$. |
