description A search is performed for pair-produced massive vector bosons, each decaying into scalar particles, which further decay to two gluons, resulting in an 8-jet final state. The dataset used was collected with the CMS detector from LHC proton-proton collisions at $\sqrt{s}=7\,\text{TeV}$, and corresponds to an integrated luminosity of 5.0$\,\text{fb}^{-1}$. Events with at least eight reconstructed jets are selected, and an artificial neural network is employed to combine the kinematic information and discriminate between signal and background. The data are in good agreement with the QCD prediction, and upper limits are reported on the signal cross section at 95\% confidence level. The cross-section limits are compared to specific Coloron predictions, with different model assumptions on the resonance widths and on the mass of the decay products, and assuming branching ratios are 100\%. The lower excluded mass is 400$\,\text{GeV}$, while the highest excluded one ranges from 900$\,\text{GeV}$ to 1200$\,\text{GeV}$, depending on the model parameters, and in agreement with the expected exclusion range from 400$\,\text{GeV}$ to 1150$\,\text{GeV}$.
