Results on SM Higgs boson searches at high mass at the LHC (ATLAS + CMS)

Sumario: | We present results from searches for the standard model Higgs boson with
a mass greater than 200 GeV in pp collisions at $\sqrt{s} = $ 7 TeV.
The data are collected at the LHC with both ATLAS and CMS detectors,
and correspond to integrated luminosity of ~ 5\ \ifb each.
Searches are performed in the two main decay modes $WW$ and $ZZ$.
No significant excess of events above the standard model background
expectations is observed, and upper limits on the Higgs boson production
relative to the standard model Higgs expectation are derived.
A standard model Higgs boson is excluded in the mass range up to 539 GeV or
600 GeV at 95\% confidence level by the ATLAS or CMS experiments respectively. |
