Sumario: | This document replaces the “Run Environment for SixTrack” [1], and describes how massive tracking campaigns can be performed with “SixTrack” [2] starting from a MAD-X input file of the LHC lattice, the so called mask file. It describes a new set of UNIX BASH or Korn shell scripts which allow the use of the Berkeley Open Infrastructure for Network Computing, BOINC [9]) as an alternative to the Linux LSF batch system. This note is also published and regularly updated on the web page cern.ch/sixtrackng/doc/sixdesk/sixdesk env.html. |
