description | This is the 4th workshop of the kind, previous workshops were a GSI (2010) and CERN (2011) and Frankfurt (2012). Recent focii included (a) forming a core projects team gravitating around the use of CA tracking in HLT and offline reconstruction (and possibly the use of common component libraries) and (b) the development of a core common package for vertex finding, whether primary or secondary (a.k.a. KFParticles). Generally, these workshops are focused on event reconstruction and analysis in the High Level Trigger of modern experiments, especially those built for heavy-ion interactions by adapting the software to modern many-core CPU/GPU computer architectures. |
