Combination of standard model Higgs boson searches and measurements of the properties of the new boson with a mass near 125 GeV

The search is performed in the mass range 110--1000~GeV in five decay modes: $\gamma\gamma$, ZZ, WW, $\tau \tau$, and bb. Updated results are presented except for the $\gamma\gamma$ mode. The significance of the recently discovered boson is now $6.9 \, \sigma$. Its mass is measured to be $125.8~\pm0.4~(\mathrm{stat})~\pm0.4~(\mathrm{syst})$~GeV. The event yields obtained by the different analyses targeting specific decay modes and production mechanisms are consistent with those expected for the SM Higgs boson. The best-fit signal strength for all channels combined, expressed in units of the SM Higgs boson cross section, is 0.88$\pm$0.21 at the measured mass. The consistency of the couplings of the observed boson with those predicted for the SM Higgs boson is tested in various ways, and no significant deviations are found. Under the assumption that the observed boson has spin zero, the data disfavour the pseudo-scalar hypothesis $0^-$ with a CL$_s$ value of 2.4\%.
