Inclusive searches for squarks and gluinos in events with leptons, jets and missing transverse momentum with the ATLAS detector

In presence of long decay chains that may occur in gluino pair production at the LHC, R-parity conserving supersymmetry can be revealed by searching for final states with leptons produced along with jets and significant missing transverse momentum. The talk summarises recent results on inclusive searches for supersymmetric squarks and gluinos in events containing electron, muon or tau leptons, jets and missing transverse momentum. These searches use the full data sample recorded in 2011 at sqrt(s)=7 TeV centre-of-mass energy by the ATLAS experiment at the LHC. Results using a sqrt(s)=8 TeV data sample from the 2012 run may also be presented.
