FLUKA PSB dump studies

Within the collaboration framework on the PSB dump replacing a set of supplementary FLUKA simulations has been carried out [1, 2]. Several dump designs assuming different materials have been considered to eventually support the thermo-mechanical analysis of the new PSB proposal. The aim of the FLUKA calculations was to investigate distribution of the energy deposited inside the dump for each of the considered designs, the averaged deposited power and the energy escaping from the system in the longitudinal and radial direction.
