Sumario: | The LHCb experiment at CERN’s Large Hadron Collider is dedicated to bottom and charm physics. The first 1.0 fb$^{-1}$ of $pp$ collisions collected during the 2011 run allows the exploration of the $b$-baryon sector with unprecedented precision. We present the first observation of $\Lambda^* _b$ baryons and measurements of the $\Xi_b$ and $\Omega^-_b$ baryon masses. In addition we present measurements of the properties of the $D^* _{s1}(2700)^+$ and $D^*_{sJ}(2860)^+$ mesons. |
