Analysis of the deuteron spin structure by COMPASS
New results on the longitudinal inclusive asymmetry $A^{d}_{1}$ in the rang 1 $< Q^{2} <$ 100 (GeV/c)$^{2}$ and 0.004 $< x <$ 0.7 are presented. From these results we derive the spin-dependent structure function $g^{d}_{1}$ which we include in a QCD analysis of the world data. The data w...

Sumario: | New results on the longitudinal inclusive asymmetry $A^{d}_{1}$ in the rang 1 $< Q^{2} <$ 100 (GeV/c)$^{2}$ and 0.004 $< x <$ 0.7 are presented. From these results we derive the spin-dependent structure function $g^{d}_{1}$ which we include in a QCD analysis of the world data. The data were obtained bu the COMPASS experiment at CERN using a 160 GeV polarized muon beam scattered off a large polarized $^{6}$LiD target. The results are in agreement with those from previous experiments and improve considerably the statistical accuracy in the region 0.004 $< x <$ 0.03. |
