An update of combined measurements of the new Higgs-like boson with high mass resolution channels

An update is presented of the measurement of the newly discovered boson properties using the high mass resolution channels, $H\rightarrow\,\gamma\gamma$ and $H \rightarrow ZZ^{(*)}\rightarrow 4\ell$, with up to 4.8 fb$^{-1}$ of $pp$ collision data at $\sqrt{s}=7$ TeV and 13 fb$^{-1}$ at $\sqrt{s}=8$...

Sumario:An update is presented of the measurement of the newly discovered boson properties using the high mass resolution channels, $H\rightarrow\,\gamma\gamma$ and $H \rightarrow ZZ^{(*)}\rightarrow 4\ell$, with up to 4.8 fb$^{-1}$ of $pp$ collision data at $\sqrt{s}=7$ TeV and 13 fb$^{-1}$ at $\sqrt{s}=8$ TeV. The combined mass measurement derived from the $H\rightarrow\,\gamma\gamma$ and $H \rightarrow ZZ^{(*)}\rightarrow 4\ell$ channels is $m_H=125.2 \pm 0.3\,(stat)\,\, \pm 0.6\,(sys)$ GeV. The combination of all final states, including the recently updated low mass resolution channels $H\rightarrow\,WW^{(*)}{\rightarrow\,}\ell\nu\ell\nu$, $H \rightarrow \tau^+\tau^-$ and $H \rightarrow b\bar{b}$, is reported for this data set in terms of the combined signal strength ($\mu$). This is determined to be $\mu = 1.35 \pm 0.24$ computed at a mass of 125 GeV, in agreement with the Standard Model expectation.
