CP Violation in B Mixing and Decays

Recent LHCb results on $CP$ violation in $B$ mixing and decays are reported. The analyses are based on 1 fb$^{-1}$ of $pp$ collisions at $\sqrt{s}$ = 7 TeV recorded in 2011. First evidence is presented for $CP$ violation in B$^{\mp}$ decays to the $K^{\mp}K^{+}K^{-}, \pi^{\pm}K^{+}K^{-}$, and $\pi^{...

Sumario:Recent LHCb results on $CP$ violation in $B$ mixing and decays are reported. The analyses are based on 1 fb$^{-1}$ of $pp$ collisions at $\sqrt{s}$ = 7 TeV recorded in 2011. First evidence is presented for $CP$ violation in B$^{\mp}$ decays to the $K^{\mp}K^{+}K^{-}, \pi^{\pm}K^{+}K^{-}$, and $\pi^{\pm}\pi^{+}\pi^{-}$ final states. The $CP$ violating flavour specific asymmetry, $a^s_{sl}$, is measured to be (-0.24 $\pm$ 0.54$_{stat} \pm$ 0.33$_{syst}$) x 10$^{-2}$, in good agreement with Standard Model expectations. A flavour tagged and time dependent analysis of the decays, $B_s \to J/\psi\phi$ and $B_s \to J/\psi^{+}\pi^{-}$, measures $\phi_s$ = -0.002 $\pm$ 0.083$_{stat} \pm$ 0.027$_{syst}$ rad, in good agreement with Standard Model predictions.
