Search for H+ to tau+nu with fully hadronic final state in CMS
A search for light charged Higgs bosons is presented, conducted using ttbar events with the t to bH+ and H+ to tau+ nu decay modes, in the fully hadronic final state. description | A search for light charged Higgs bosons is presented, conducted using ttbar events with the t to bH+ and H+ to tau+ nu decay modes, in the fully hadronic final state. The search was based on 2.3fb-1 of data, delivered by the LHC and recorded with the CMS detector in 2011, at a centre-of-mass energy of 7 TeV. No excess of events was observed over the expected SM background. Model-independent upper limits were calculated for the t to bH+ branching ratio. These limits were transformed to the (tanbeta, mH+) parameter space of the MSSM in the maximal mixing scenario, excluding a significant region that had previously remained unexplored. |
