Sumario:The rapidity distributions for events with a Z boson or a real photon in association with one jet are measured at the CERN Large Hadron Collider using the CMS detector. The proton-proton collision data used in the analysis correspond to an integrated luminosity of 5~fb$^{-1}$ at $\sqrt{s}=7$ TeV. In the laboratory reference frame the Z/photon and jet rapidities are consistent with current theories; however, in the center of momentum reference frame, differences are found between data, next-to-leading order perturbation theory calculations, and two Monte Carlo generators merging matrix elements with parton showers.
