description This paper is a summary of the work we made to understand and improve the AD ejection line optics. In 2011 significant differences were noticed between the optical properties of the AD ejection line and the MAD model. Investigations started to find out the sources of discrepancy. Better understanding of the ejection line optics was obtained and corrections were applied to the model of ejection line. The beam delivery to the experiments is better understood now. The results obtained might be useful as well for the optics design of AD to ELENA transfer line. Potential problems with the fringing field model in MAD were pointed out, when bending magnets with large bending angles and small bending radius are involved.
