Sumario: | An event candidate featuring high-$p_T$ jets and two proton tracks reconstructed at the TOTEM Roman Pot (RP) stations in both arms around the CMS interaction point is presented. In addition, the Forward Shower Counter (FSC) detectors, covering a very forward pseudo-rapidity range, were required to be empty. The kinematics of the two proton tracks and that reconstructed from CMS detectors alone was found to be consistent. The data were collected during low pile-up runs at 8 TeV and $\beta^{\ast}=90\;{\rm m}$, in 2012, when CMS and TOTEM operated with common triggers. |
