2013 NA62 Status Report to the CERN SPSC

NA62 aims to study the rare decay $K^+ \to \pi^+ \nu \bar{\nu}$ at the CERN SPS. In this document we report the status of the detector construction and the general progress of the experiment since April 2012. A report on the achievements obtained during the 2012 technical run is given. The schedule for the completion of the construction and the preparations in view of the physics data taking in October 2014 are detailed. \end{abstract}
