Sumario: | The LHCb experiment is making high-precision measurements of CP violation and searching for New Physics using the enormous flux of beauty and charm hadrons produced at the LHC. The detector includes a high precision tracking system consisting of a silicon-strip vertex detector surrounding the pp interaction region, a large-area silicon-strip detector located upstream of a dipole magnet, and three stations of silicon-strip detectors and straw drift tubes placed downstream. The performance of the individual silicon-strip detectors will be discussed together with the overall performance of the full tracking system. |
