Measurement of the B+ meson production at high pT with the ATLAS detector

Sumario: | The production cross section of $B^+$ mesons is measured as a function of transverse momentum $p_T$ and rapidity $y$ in proton-proton collisions at $\sqrt{s}=7$\;TeV, using 2.4 fb$^{-1}$ of data recorded with the ATLAS detector at the Large Hadron Collider. The differential cross section is measured in eight intervals of $p_T$ and four intervals of $|y|$, covering the range 9 GeV$<p_T<120$\;GeV and $|y|<2.25$. The differential production cross sections are compared to next-to-leading order theoretical predictions. |
