Sumario: | The production of $J/\psi$ mesons is studied in proton-lead collisions with the LHCb detector, at a proton-nucleon centre-of-mass energy $\sqrt{s_{\rm {\small{NN}}}} = 5 \mathrm{TeV}$ The nuclear attenuation factor is determined and results are compared with theoretical predictions.
