Sumario: | Due to its unique pseudorapidity coverage and the possibility of extending measurements to low transverse momenta, LHCb provides important input to the understanding of particle production in a kinematic range where QCD models have large uncertainties. Measurements of charged, strange and charmed particle production and energy flow are performed in the approximate pseudorapidity range $2<\eta<5$, which corresponds to the acceptance of the LHCb spectrometer. The results are compared to predictions given by several Monte Carlo event generators. |
