Sumario: | ATLAS has a rich heavy flavor and quarkonia program with measurements and searches that can contribute to a better understanding of Quantum Chromodynamics. Using data from proton--proton collisions in the LHC at $\sqrt{s}=7~$TeV the $\Upsilon$(1S, 2S, 3S) production cross sections and the charged $B$ meson production cross section measurements are presented, along with comparisons with theoretical expectations. The observation of $J/\psi$ produced in association with $W$ bosons, accessible for the first time, can provide new insights into the hadro-production of charmonium. |
