Sumario: | Trigger systems of LHC detectors play a crucial role in the physics yeld of the experiments. A reduction of several orders of magnitude of the event rate is needed to reach values compatible with detector readout capability and with offline storage and analysis capability. We describe the main design features of Atlas, CMS and LHCb trigger systems and their operation during the first LHC run. Most important results in terms of performance (rates, efficiencies) of the trigger systems will be shown, with emphasis on aspects related to flavour physics. |
