The dataset used corresponds to an integrated luminosity of 20.3 fb$^{-1}$ of proton-proton collisions at a centre-of-mass energy of 8 TeV recorded with the ATLAS detector at the Large Hadron Collider. No excess over the background prediction is observed and limits are set on the production. The observed (expected) 95% confidence level exclusion limits on the production cross section for a Higgs boson with a mass of $m_H = 126.8$ GeV in association with a top quark pair are 5.3 (6.4) times the predicted Standard Model values.
