Measurement of jet cross sections at low transverse momentum in proton-proton collisions at 8 TeV
We present a measurement of the inclusive jet cross section in proton-proton (pp) collisions at $\sqrt{s}~=~8$ TeV based on data collected by the CMS detector with an integrated luminosity of $5.8$ pb$^{-1}$. Sumario: | We present a measurement of the inclusive jet cross section in
proton-proton (pp) collisions at $\sqrt{s}~=~8$ TeV based on data collected by the CMS
detector with an integrated luminosity of $5.8$ pb$^{-1}$. The measurement was
performed using the anti-$k_T$ clustering algorithm with a distance
parameter $R =~0.7$ in the rapidity region of $|y| < 4.7$ for jet
transverse momenta $21 < p_T < 74$ GeV/c. The measured jet cross-section is
compared to predictions of next-to-leading order (NLO) QCD calculations. |
