Study of the standard model Higgs boson production in association with top quarks in the 3-lepton final state at 14 TeV

An extrapolation of the ttH search in multileptonic final states from 8 TeV and 19.6 fb$^{-1}$ to 14 TeV and 100 fb$^{-1}$ was performed. Focusing on the 3-lepton final state, a dedicated reconstruction of the event kinematic was implemented to improve the discrimination against the ttZ process, which is the dominant background in the events with the larger jet and b-jet multiplicites and highest signal-to-background ratio. An improvement in the expected sensitivity was found when using the output of this reconstruction in the multivariate discriminator used for extracting the ttH signal. Possibilities for future improvements are also considered.
