Sumario:The purpose of this study was to optimize the resolution of the W boson resonance in the dijet mass spectrum. Different cone sizes as well as different grooming algorithms used in jet reconstruction were compared. The main figure of merit for this study was the width of the W mass peak. The current results show that the smallest cone size in the study, $\Delta R = 0.4$, gives the best mass resolution. The trimming and filtering grooming algorithms compete for the best mass resolution, while pruning appears to be an overly aggressive grooming algorithm.
