description Gluon fusion production in association with two jets can result in signatures very similar to vector boson fusion (VBF) production. In order to establish VBF production experimentally, it is important to reduce and control the contribution from gluon fusion production. The goal of the project is to employ state-of-the-art MC generators to devise a set of criteria to reliably reduce the contribution from gluon fusion production in VBF topologies. Through this project, it is found that there is some additional discrimination possibility in separating VBF from gluon fusion on the basis of H->γγ analysis, and a cut can be set in order to optimize the separation between gluon fusion and VBF production when systematic uncertainty is considered.
