Sumario:Optimization algorithms are an essential part of the software used in the de-\nsign of the beam optics for accelerator like MadX [1]. In this report we present\na framework written in pure Python [2] (after an attempt to use Mathemat-\nica [3]) for fast prototyping and benchmarking of optimization algorithms by\nimplementing a simple optics engine and constraints manager. First bench-\nmark results using off-the-shelf algorithms and a simple optics problem are also\npresented.
