Sumario: | This document describes a scope-based signal analysis tool for the Trigger, Timing and Control system of the LHC experiments. The TTC signal is digitized and read out using a digital sampling oscilloscope, and then analyzed in software. From the sampled signal, the BC clock is recovered along with the signal contents: level-1 accepts, commands, and trigger types. Two common use-cases in the ATLAS experiment are addressed: analysis of TTC signals and calibration of TTC crates. The latter includes calibration schemes for two determining the optimal signal phase for two types of messages, level-1 accepts and commands. |
