First view at electron-jet correlations with 2012 EMCal data in ALICE

In this project a study of the azimuthal correlation of high pt electrons, coming mainly from B meson decay, and jets in pp collisions at $\sqrt{s}= 8 $ TeV collected by ALICE in 2012 is presented. The electron identification is performed using the Time Projection Chamber and the Electromagnetic calorimeter, the latter used also for triggering the events. The possibility to use a cut in the distance of closest approach to separate electrons from beauty and electrons from charm is tested.
