Searches for resonances decaying to Standard Model third generation quarks and leptons

We report on the search for resonances decaying to Standard Model third generation quarks (top and bottom) and tau leptons. In particular we review the search for resonances decaying to top anti-top pairs, resonances decaying to top and bottom quarks, and ditau resonances decaying in the fully hadronic nal state. The integrated luminosity used in these analyses is around 14 fb^-1 or higher. These searches were done with the ATLAS detector using the LHC proton-proton collision data at a center-of-mass energy of 8 TeV.
